Michael Sison has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors including Air Products and Chemicals’ strategic vision and long-term growth prospects. Despite a recent earnings miss and lowered guidance for FY2025, the company has outlined a robust plan for future growth, targeting high single-digit EPS growth from 2026 to 2029 and double-digit EPS growth post-2030.
The company’s focus on investing significantly in its core business and optimizing underperforming projects is expected to drive profitability. Additionally, the management’s efforts to derisk major projects like Saudi Green and Louisiana Blue are seen as positive steps towards sustainable growth. These strategic initiatives, despite short-term challenges, underpin the confidence in the company’s long-term potential, justifying the Buy rating.
In another report released on May 2, Barclays also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $325.00 price target.
APD’s price has also changed moderately for the past six months – from $309.210 to $272.160, which is a -11.98% drop .
