Ruplu Bhattacharya has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors related to Sanmina-Sci’s strategic initiatives and market conditions. The acquisition of ZT Systems is a significant step forward for Sanmina, expected to enhance its capabilities in the Cloud and AI sectors by providing full-rack assembly for hyperscale customers. However, the macroeconomic environment remains challenging, and the company faces the task of integrating and revitalizing the ZT business post-acquisition.
Management’s focus will be on maintaining customer relationships, supporting new product introductions, and expanding its customer base. While the acquisition is anticipated to be accretive, with potential EPS growth, the success depends on effective integration and achieving projected synergies. The price objective has been adjusted to $130, reflecting expectations of improved revenue mix, but the overall cautious outlook justifies the Hold rating.
SANM’s price has also changed dramatically for the past six months – from $76.390 to $116.500, which is a 52.51% increase.
