Laura Martin’s rating is based on Reddit’s emerging role as a foundational internet service that complements search and social platforms by organizing topic-focused communities where real people share lived experiences, which becomes increasingly valuable as AI-generated content expands and trust erodes. She argues that Reddit effectively “sells trust” at scale because its human-driven discussions serve as a critical last-step verification layer for information that users and large language models rely on.
Laura Martin also highlights the growing tendency of users to add “Reddit” to online searches to ensure authentic, human-sourced answers, which strengthens the platform’s position as a default validation tool across the broader web, not just within its own site. In addition, she sees strategic upside from Reddit’s partnership with Alphabet’s Google, since Reddit’s experiential data complements AI answer engines, supporting new monetization avenues and reinforcing her conviction that the stock offers attractive upside potential, warranting a Buy rating.
In another report released on March 30, TipRanks – OpenAI also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $135.00 price target.
