Nathan Feather has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors related to Peloton Interactive’s recent performance and outlook. He notes that while the company modestly raised its FY26 EBITDA guidance and posted a small EBITDA beat in F2Q, the magnitude of the upside was below what optimistic investors were anticipating. At the same time, Peloton reduced its FY26 revenue forecast as its new hardware line underperformed with existing subscribers, casting doubt on the strength of recent product innovations. The combination of lower revenue expectations and only modest profitability upside weakens the near-term bullish thesis, especially one that relied on stronger operating leverage and innovation-led subscriber growth.

Feather also highlights increasing concern around Peloton’s ability to sustain and expand its connected fitness subscriber base over the long term. Even though the recent price increases led to faster subscription revenue growth with limited incremental churn, gross subscriber additions in F2Q declined year over year despite a refreshed product lineup and marketing efforts. This dynamic suggests that Peloton may face structural challenges in reigniting robust user growth, leading him to trim long-term subscriber growth assumptions and lower the price target to $5. In his view, the shares neither offer a compelling upside case nor justify a downgrade to Sell, making a Hold rating the most appropriate stance given the balance of risks and opportunities.

According to TipRanks, Feather is a 4-star analyst with an average return of 10.5% and a 53.66% success rate. Feather covers the Consumer Cyclical sector, focusing on stocks such as Chewy, Peloton Interactive, and WW International, Inc..
