Joseph Moore has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that, in his view, position Nvidia to outperform despite its recent share price weakness. He notes that the company continues to operate in an exceptionally strong AI demand environment, with internal checks indicating that growth trends are not only intact but strengthening. Investors already expect earnings meaningfully above current consensus, and he believes that upside to near-term results is both likely and broadly recognized. At the same time, he argues that worries about Nvidia’s market share erosion are overstated, and that the upcoming Vera Rubin product cycle should further validate the company’s technological leadership.
Moore also highlights that much of the recent underperformance is tied to broader market dynamics rather than a deterioration in Nvidia’s fundamentals. As the AI ecosystem expands, capital is flowing into a wider set of beneficiaries, which can temporarily dilute attention from Nvidia even though it remains at the core of the build-out. He acknowledges investor concerns around customer financing for large-scale AI projects and Nvidia’s involvement in those structures, but frames these as issues the company can manage and adapt to rather than structural threats. Taken together, he concludes that as these overhangs are resolved against a backdrop of robust AI demand, Nvidia’s shares should resume a leadership trajectory, supporting his Buy recommendation.
According to TipRanks, Moore is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 20.8% and a 61.04% success rate. Moore covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Nvidia, SanDisk Corp, and Analog Devices.
In another report released yesterday, Bernstein also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $275.00 price target.
