Sean Dodge has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors tied to improving fundamentals and a clearer medium-term outlook. He expects IQVIA’s book-to-bill ratio to continue rising in Q4, signaling strengthening demand and easing cancellation pressures, particularly as project reprioritizations among large clients subside. Encouraging indicators from peers and key customers, including healthier bookings trends and fewer pipeline cuts, further support the view that industry headwinds are moderating. In addition, potential new Phase III obesity programs starting in 2026 could provide incremental upside for IQVIA’s clinical services.

Sean Dodge’s rating is also based on the company’s 2026 guidance framework, which points to revenue growth above 5% and a stable-to-improving EBITDA margin profile, aligning with its long-term objective of modest annual margin expansion. While some near-term margin pressure stems from revenue mix and FX dynamics, these are viewed as manageable and not structurally damaging to profitability. He believes IQVIA’s specific client mix positions it to recover faster than many peers as spending normalizes and biotech funding trends improve. Combined, these drivers underpin his view that earnings growth and valuation can both move higher into 2026, justifying a Buy recommendation despite the stock’s rebound from prior lows.

Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 21 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of IQV in relation to earlier this year.
