Ari Klein has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors impacting SBA Communications. The company showed a slight improvement in its third-quarter EBITDA and AFFO, with better-than-expected domestic and international performance. The domestic leasing market is improving, and the recent Master Lease Agreement with Verizon provides more clarity on future growth, especially in colocations, amidst uncertain carrier spending.
However, despite these positive developments, there are concerns that the anticipated churn from DISH in the coming years could limit AFFO per share growth. This potential churn, expected around 2027/2028, suggests that growth may remain subdued in the near term. As a result, Ari Klein remains cautious and opts for a Hold rating, indicating a wait-and-see approach to how these factors will play out over time.
In another report released on October 20, Wells Fargo also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a $215.00 price target.
