Juergen Wagner has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors influencing ams-OSRAM’s performance. The company’s recent Q4 results exceeded expectations, with adjusted EBITDA surpassing consensus estimates. Furthermore, the guidance for Q1-25 is also more optimistic than anticipated, showing a potential for growth despite challenges in its primary markets.
Despite these positive outcomes, the stock is rated Hold as the company remains exposed to the automotive and industrial sectors, which have inherent risks. Additionally, while there is strong momentum with significant design wins and anticipated positive free cash flow in the second half of 2025, the unchanged EPS estimates for 2025 suggest limited immediate upside potential. Consequently, Juergen Wagner maintains a cautious outlook, advising investors to hold their positions pending further developments.
In another report released today, J.P. Morgan also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a CHF10.20 price target.
