Rene Cartier has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors affecting Metalla Royalty & Streaming’s financial performance. The company’s recent quarterly results showed earnings per share and revenue figures that were slightly below expectations. Additionally, operating cash flow did not meet projections, which raises concerns about the company’s short-term financial health.
Despite these challenges, Metalla continues to expand its portfolio by executing new transactions and attracting new shareholders. However, the majority of its assets are still non-producing, which limits its current cash flow generation. The reiterated guidance for 2025 suggests potential improvement, but the reliance on future production and the current financial metrics warrant a cautious approach, justifying the Hold rating.
MTA’s price has also changed slightly for the past six months – from $2.850 to $2.840, which is a -0.35% drop .
