Benchmark Co. analyst Reuben Garner has maintained their neutral stance on BCC stock, giving a Hold rating today.
Reuben Garner has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors impacting Boise Cascade’s outlook. The company reported solid fourth-quarter results that aligned with market expectations, but the broader economic environment poses challenges. The demand for housing has slowed, affecting the company’s revenue, and while Boise Cascade has managed to benefit from certain commodity pricing trends, the macroeconomic conditions are expected to continue weighing on its performance in the near term.
Garner notes that while there is some positive reliance on Boise’s Building Materials Distribution (BMD) segment, the stagnant macro environment and cost pressures, including tariff talks and labor availability, limit potential upside. The company’s distribution business shows resilience, but risks in the Wood Products segment remain, particularly if current market activity levels persist. Given these mixed factors, Garner maintains a Hold rating, suggesting that the risks and opportunities are balanced at present.
In another report released today, BMO Capital also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a $122.00 price target.
