Balancing Solid Long-Term Drivers Against Modest Near-Term Momentum: Justifying a Hold Rating and $34 Price Target

Marc Bianchi, an analyst from TD Cowen, maintained the Hold rating on Oceaneering International. The associated price target was raised to $34.00.

Marc Bianchi has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors, balancing improving earnings power with a largely in-line growth outlook. While fourth-quarter EBITDA modestly exceeded expectations and the company reaffirmed its 2026 EBITDA guidance slightly above consensus, revenue trends and the outlook for first-quarter 2026 point to only modest top-line momentum near term.

He highlights ADTech as the main engine of growth and margin expansion, but notes that energy-exposed segments face softer conditions and are skewed to the back half of 2026, with ROV utilization and offshore activity remaining key swing variables. His discounted cash flow valuation supports a $34 price target, which implies limited upside from current levels, making a Hold stance appropriate given the mixed near-term setup despite solid long-term drivers.

In another report released on February 23, Barclays also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a $32.00 price target.
