Asiya Merchant has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that balance near-term pressure with solid long-term positioning. He sees TE Connectivity as structurally well aligned with the expanding AI and cloud interconnect market, and highlights the company’s ongoing build-out of capabilities that should support earnings growth and multiple expansion over time.
At the same time, Merchant acknowledges that investor sentiment could weaken in the coming month as the market continues to view TE Connectivity primarily as a copper-centric AI interconnect supplier, especially around the OFC event where new optical technologies may draw attention. Despite this tactical downside risk, he believes the current valuation and expected upside in the share price more than compensate for short-term volatility, supporting a Buy recommendation.
In another report released on February 18, TipRanks – Google also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $269.00 price target.
Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 77 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of TEL in relation to earlier this year.
