Vanessa Jeffriess has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors, balancing reassuring elements in the first-half update with ongoing structural and cyclical headwinds. Revenue growth outside China in testing services and EBITA guidance that supports margins above 20% for FY26 are encouraging, as is an order intake that is slightly down year over year but notably better than in the previous half.

At the same time, a sizeable decline in Testing Services sales, largely tied to well-telegraphed issues at a German OEM in China, is likely to cap overall group growth this year and limits near-term upside. In her view, this means the recent sharp de-rating in the share price is not yet fully countered by the latest trading update, even though she remains constructive on the medium-term opportunity in autonomous-driving regulation, margin recovery, and M&A-driven expansion.

Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 11 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of ABDP in relation to earlier this year.
