Patrick Mann has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors including ArcelorMittal’s strategic focus on growth and capital returns, which are seen as attractive at the current valuation. Despite the anticipated challenges from tariffs and trade disputes affecting the 2025 outlook, Mann believes the market will overlook these temporary disruptions and focus on the company’s long-term potential, particularly as the reference EBITDA year is shifted to 2026.
Additionally, the recent acquisition of the remaining 50% of the Calvert joint venture is viewed positively, as it is expected to significantly boost ArcelorMittal’s group EBITDA despite an increase in consolidated net debt. Mann also notes the company’s disciplined approach to decarbonization investments, which aligns with broader industry trends and regulatory expectations, further supporting the Buy rating.
According to TipRanks, Mann is ranked #5309 out of 9820 analysts.
In another report released on July 9, Goldman Sachs also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a €30.00 price target.
