Austin Bohlig has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors tied to Amprius Technologies’ strategic position in the unmanned aerial systems market. He argues that the company is entering an extended global upcycle in drone demand, spanning both defense and commercial applications, and that Amprius is one of the few companies primarily focused on supplying batteries to this segment. He highlights that Amprius’ silicon-anode technology materially boosts drone range and endurance, making its products particularly attractive as performance requirements increase. In his view, these advantages align well with evolving regulations that are expected to further accelerate commercial drone adoption.

Bohlig also emphasizes that Amprius operates with a relatively capital-efficient model, which he believes should translate into stronger growth and profitability metrics versus peers as volumes ramp. The large and expanding total addressable market for unmanned systems, combined with the company’s differentiated technology and focused exposure, underpins his expectation for outsized revenue expansion. He anticipates that as the drone cycle gains momentum, Amprius’ financial performance and growth profile will support valuation multiple expansion. Taken together, these elements justify his Buy rating and a $20 price target on the shares.

In another report released on January 13, Northland Securities also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $20.00 price target.

Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 35 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of AMPX in relation to earlier this year.
