Louie DiPalma has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors including AeroVironment’s recent strategic contract wins and its successful diversification efforts. The company has secured significant contracts, such as the $499 million research and development contract for the Air Force’s High-Performance Electromagnetic Spectrum Survivable Materials Advancement program, which highlights its growing capabilities in electronic warfare.
Additionally, AeroVironment’s $240 million laser communications contract and the $96 million Freedom Eagle-1 award further demonstrate its expansion beyond traditional offerings. These achievements suggest a positive outlook for AeroVironment as it taps into the increasing demand for drone technology, driven by the effectiveness of unmanned systems in modern military operations. Consequently, DiPalma anticipates that AeroVironment’s stock will perform well as investor interest in drone-related companies continues to rise.

In another report released on September 11, BTIG also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $300.00 price target.

Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 42 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of AVAV in relation to earlier this year.
