Zerohash has strengthened its European strategy by securing an Electronic Money Institution license for its Amsterdam-based subsidiary, Zerohash Europe B.V., from De Nederlandsche Bank, adding a key regulatory pillar to its existing MiCAR authorization granted by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets in October 2025. The firm is the first MiCAR-licensed provider to also obtain an EMI license under the European Banking Authority’s June 2025 no-action letter and February 2026 guidance, giving it explicit permission to handle e-money token flows that require both crypto and payments oversight.
By adding EMI status, Zerohash can continue to support compliant stablecoin-powered payments and digital asset flows for banks, brokerages, fintechs, payment processors, and enterprise platforms across the European Economic Area with greater regulatory certainty. The company has recently expanded its EU presence in Amsterdam and is already powering partners such as Interactive Brokers Europe, positioning Zerohash as a key infrastructure provider for cross-border payments, trading, remittances, and tokenization in a tightening European regulatory environment.
