Zapier is leveraging momentum from its first Super Bowl campaign to launch “1 Million AIs,” a large-scale education initiative that pledges free AI training for one million people via workshops, bootcamps, courses, and hands-on workflow building. Centered on Al, the ad campaign character, the program is designed to drive broader adoption of Zapier’s AI-powered automation platform by lowering the skills barrier for non-technical users worldwide.
Participants can access the program through live and virtual events, ZapConnect (Zapier’s annual builder conference), Zapier’s Learning Academy, webinars, or by creating their first AI-enabled workflow directly in the product, with a real-time public counter tracking progress at zapier.com/million-ai-pledge. CEO Wade Foster said many of Zapier’s strongest use cases originated from non-engineers who simply had access to the right tools and education, positioning this initiative as a strategic funnel to expand usage, deepen customer engagement, and support long-term product-led growth.
The first flagship event, a virtual session titled “Your First Real AI Win: A Practical Workshop for People Who Don’t Have Time for AI Hype,” is scheduled for April 7, with additional courses, workshops, and AI workflow templates available immediately upon registration. SVP of Marketing Dan Slagen framed the effort as a differentiated approach from generic AI thought leadership, emphasizing Zapier’s existing installed base of hundreds of thousands of active builders and the public “scoreboard” as a mechanism for accountability and ongoing visibility into adoption.
Strategically, the initiative reinforces Zapier’s positioning as a leading AI-powered workflow automation provider connecting more than 8,000 apps, while potentially increasing product stickiness, driving incremental usage, and creating a pipeline of educated users who can champion automation within their organizations. For executives and investors, the program signals continued investment in user enablement and AI capability adoption rather than near-term monetization, but the scale and open-access model could translate into broader market penetration, higher activation rates, and expanded revenue opportunities across Zapier’s self-serve and enterprise customer segments over time.
