Zapier, a leading AI orchestration platform, has unveiled insights from its latest Enterprise AI Benefits survey, revealing a significant gap between AI adoption and its measurable benefits in U.S. enterprises. The survey, conducted by Centiment for Zapier, indicates that while 97% of enterprises are integrating AI, only half report widespread benefits across their teams. A notable 91% of companies struggle to accurately measure AI’s return on investment, despite 73% having formal processes in place. Emily Mabie, AI Automation Engineer at Zapier, emphasized the importance of orchestration in bridging this gap, suggesting that connecting data, tools, and teams is crucial for AI to deliver consistent, measurable outcomes.

The survey also uncovers a perception disparity between executives and other leaders, with 63% of executives believing in widespread AI benefits compared to 42% of directors and middle managers. Organizations that have fully embedded AI into their operations are twice as likely to experience widespread benefits. Mabie notes that successful AI implementation relies on execution rather than enthusiasm, highlighting the need for consistent ROI measurement and integration across systems. Zapier offers six practical steps to help enterprises enhance AI’s impact, underscoring the platform’s commitment to empowering businesses through intelligent automation. The survey results, based on responses from over 500 U.S. C-Suite Executives and other leaders, provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of AI adoption and its challenges in large enterprises.
