Yanolja indicated that its engineering teams are already experimenting with and applying Claude Code in service development and operations, signaling ongoing investment in advanced AI across its platforms. This focus is complemented by plans to participate in AI EXPO KOREA 2026 under the theme “AI FOR TRAVEL,” where group units including Sanha IT, Yanolja NEXT, and NOL UNIVERSE will showcase AI technologies.
At the expo, Youngjin Kim, CTO of the Consumer Platform Division, is scheduled to present on “AI-driven Global Travel Innovation,” reinforcing the company’s ambition to be seen as an AI-centric travel platform. While no specific financial targets were disclosed, the initiatives could enhance brand visibility, deepen partnerships, and support technology-led revenue growth over time.
In parallel, Yanolja’s NOL UNIVERSE platform released its “2025 Entertainment & Ticketing Review,” based on NOL and NOL Ticket sales data, highlighting a 15% year-on-year rise in concert demand in South Korea, with sports and musicals also contributing. The review notes longer booking lead times, with average reservations extending to 32 days and concert tickets purchased up to 55 days in advance.
These changes point to improved revenue visibility and potential pricing power for Yanolja’s ticketing operations, as earlier demand can support more efficient inventory and yield management. The report also points to increasing weekday attendance and growing demand beyond Seoul, including regions such as North Chungcheong and Jeju.
Broader regional and temporal diversification of live-event demand may expand Yanolja’s addressable market and create cross-selling opportunities across lodging, entertainment, and local experiences. Taken together, the week’s developments suggest Yanolja is deepening its AI capabilities while leveraging proprietary data to capture structural growth in Korea’s live entertainment and travel ecosystem.
