Wrapbook – Weekly Recap

Wrapbook, a production finance and payroll platform for film and media, saw a busy week highlighted by the launch of an $800,000 Film Grant Program for high-budget U.S. productions. The initiative will award up to four grants of $200,000 to projects with budgets of at least $15 million that film domestically and use Wrapbook for all payroll services.

The grant program is designed to offset production costs and redirect spending toward core creative and production needs, while anchoring more big-budget work in the U.S. By tying eligibility to full-payroll adoption, Wrapbook is using the grants as a customer acquisition and expansion lever among studio-scale projects and to drive higher transaction volumes on its AI-enabled platform.

Alongside the grant launch, Wrapbook rolled out a revamped timecard experience aimed at streamlining production payroll workflows. The new interface features an Excel-like grid, keyboard shortcuts, inline wage and allowance editing, support for multiple timecards per worker per week, flexible batching options, and real-time labor cost visibility to reduce friction and manual errors.

The company also spotlighted its role in the Oscar-winning documentary short “All the Empty Rooms,” which used Wrapbook from pre-production through wrap, reinforcing its suitability for complex, high-profile projects. Wrapbook is further building brand and thought leadership through its “On Production” podcast and data-driven discussions based on its latest benchmark report, targeting finance leaders across the entertainment sector.

Wrapbook’s inclusion on Forbes’ 2026 list of America’s Best Startup Employers underscored its strength as a workplace as it expands hiring in engineering, AI systems, data, compliance, and union payroll operations. Collectively, the grant program, product enhancements, award-linked case study, and employer recognition suggest a company deepening its industry integration and positioning for sustained growth in production finance.
