WitnessAI is expanding its international footprint through a strategic reseller partnership with NTT DATA Japan, positioning its AI security and governance platform at the center of Japan’s accelerating enterprise AI adoption. Under the agreement, NTT DATA Japan will sell and integrate WitnessAI’s technology for Japanese customers seeking to secure AI models, agent-based systems, and employee use of generative AI while meeting stricter governance demands.

The deal builds on NTT DATA Japan’s own internal deployment of WitnessAI, which has been folded into its Responsible and Secure AI service to provide end-to-end support for AI governance across large organizations. The timing aligns with Japan’s AI Promotion Act, enacted in May 2025, which increases the need for comprehensive oversight of AI usage; WitnessAI already supports Japanese-language interactions and localized policies, making it suitable for regional compliance and risk management. NTT DATA executives cited firsthand benefits from the platform in enabling safe and responsible AI, while WitnessAI CEO Rick Caccia emphasized that leveraging NTT DATA’s reach should accelerate platform adoption, enhance AI security for Japanese enterprises, and improve returns on AI investments by adding visibility, intent-based controls, and runtime defenses across employees, applications, models, and agents.
