Welltory is using its 10th anniversary to reposition its HRV-based stress and energy management platform more squarely around people with chronic, energy-limiting conditions, leveraging a base of 17 million users and more than 739 million HRV readings collected to date. The company, which now processes over 12 million HRV measurements each month and retains more than half of paying users beyond three years, is launching ELC Lab as its first structured community program for individuals whose daily functioning is disrupted by conditions such as Long COVID, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, and POTS.

The ELC Lab initiative will group participants into small, profile-matched cohorts supported by AI-assisted facilitation, creating a structured peer-support environment that reflects the real constraints of fluctuating energy levels rather than general wellness optimization. Specialist physicians will review only de-identified, aggregated group data generated through this community, offering clinical insight without access to individual records or communications, while Welltory positions the program as a complement to, not a replacement for, medical care. Drawing on a decade of user behavior—where many relied on the app as an early signal when something felt wrong—CEO Jane Smorodnikova signals a strategic shift: the next phase of growth will focus on building a data-driven wellness platform that adapts to the realities of chronic conditions, expanding beyond the company’s original focus on relatively healthy users and laying the groundwork for additional community-based offerings.
