According to a recent LinkedIn post from Wayve, the company has secured a $60 million extension to its Series D round from AMD, Arm, and Qualcomm Ventures, in addition to previously reported backing of $1.2 billion from financial investors, technology firms, and automakers. The post suggests that support from these chip and platform providers reflects alignment across the automotive compute stack that may facilitate deployment of Wayve’s AI Driver technology.

The company’s LinkedIn post highlights that deeper integration with platforms already used in vehicles, as well as next-generation autonomous systems, could reduce integration complexity and shorten time-to-market for automakers and fleet operators. For investors, this could indicate a strategy to embed Wayve’s software across multiple hardware ecosystems, potentially increasing addressable market and improving scalability.
According to the post, Wayve sees the new funding as supporting continued scaling and integration across automotive compute platforms, citing examples ranging from a Nissan robotaxi prototype built on Nvidia Drive Hyperion to a pre-integrated AI Driver solution in collaboration with Qualcomm. If these collaborations progress toward commercial deployment, they may strengthen Wayve’s competitive position in autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems, and could enhance the company’s attractiveness as a strategic partner or acquisition target in the broader mobility and semiconductor ecosystem.
