VulcanForms has closed an oversubscribed $220 million Series D round led by Eclipse and 1789 Capital to accelerate expansion of its fully integrated digital metal manufacturing platform in the United States. The capital will fund additional production capacity, extend the company’s technology roadmap, and deepen R&D across materials and process capabilities, positioning VulcanForms as a key domestic supplier for critical metal components.
The company is consolidating traditionally fragmented, multi-vendor metal manufacturing supply chains into AI-enabled, end-to-end digital factories that combine metal additive manufacturing, precision machining, automation, inspection, and proprietary software in a single workflow. VulcanForms reports that it has moved into scaled industrial production and secured large, multi-billion-dollar commercial programs in sectors including medical devices, consumer products, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets, supporting reshoring efforts as customers seek secure, U.S.-based production.
CEO Kevin Kassekert said the financing enables the company to meet surging demand as American manufacturers look for domestic partners that can match global scale with higher speed and precision. By compressing complex supply chains into one integrated system, VulcanForms aims to cut waste, reduce total system cost, improve quality and repeatability, and provide predictable lead times for mission-critical parts.
Backers Eclipse and 1789 Capital emphasized VulcanForms’ role in rebuilding U.S. industrial capability, highlighting its ability to manufacture at scale and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers while creating high-skilled manufacturing jobs. As geopolitical risk, trade disruptions, and industrial policy push industries to re-evaluate sourcing strategies, VulcanForms’ platform is positioned as infrastructure for the next phase of American advanced manufacturing, offering secure, domestic, production-grade capacity for complex metal products at scale.
