VoiceRun has secured a $5.5 million seed round led by Flybridge Capital Partners, with participation from RRE Ventures and Link Ventures, to accelerate deployment of its full‑stack Voice AI platform for enterprises. The Cambridge, Mass.–based company, which recently rebranded from Prim AI as it graduates from Link Studio, will use the capital to expand product capabilities and go‑to‑market efforts as large organizations move from pilots to production systems that must satisfy reliability, security, and governance requirements. VoiceRun positions itself as a code‑first, developer‑centric infrastructure provider: customers retain ownership of their application code while VoiceRun supplies the orchestration layer across speech‑to‑text, large language models, text‑to‑speech, turn‑taking, telephony, and latency management, supported by real‑time telemetry, LLM‑based evaluations, and synthetic data generation to improve accuracy and containment.
The platform targets enterprises in sectors such as restaurant technology, insurance, banking, and telecommunications, where voice agents are being deployed for phone ordering, reservations, contact center triage, and lead qualification, and where milliseconds of latency and strict compliance constraints are material. VoiceRun’s deployment options—public cloud, customer VPC, or on‑premises—are designed to clear security and data‑residency reviews while avoiding lock‑in to any single model or infrastructure vendor. Management argues that this approach compresses build times from months to days and resolves the build‑versus‑buy dilemma by giving teams both control and enterprise‑grade tooling. CEO and co‑founder Nick Leonard said the new funding will focus on strengthening the underlying infrastructure needed to make voice systems scalable, durable, and observable in production, while lead investor Flybridge highlighted VoiceRun’s role as the “missing piece” for governed, large‑scale voice deployments. For executives evaluating Voice AI, VoiceRun is positioning itself as a strategic backbone that enables in‑house innovation with full code control, while shifting the operational and orchestration burden to a specialized platform as adoption of AI agents accelerates toward broad enterprise penetration by 2025.
