ViCentra has appointed Reman McDonagh, PhD, as Vice President, Global Marketing, adding senior commercial firepower as the Utrecht-based medical device company scales its Kaleido insulin patch pump business in Europe and prepares for next-generation product launches in both the EU and the U.S. McDonagh, who has more than two decades of experience in diabetes and medical devices across Roche, Medtronic, Cellnovo, and Insulet, is expected to play a central role in converting ViCentra’s recent $98 million Series D financing extension into disciplined commercial growth, particularly in priority European markets and in building readiness for U.S. market entry. CEO Tom Arnold framed the hire as a pivotal step in shifting the company from early traction to scalable execution, emphasizing her track record in brand strategy, go-to-market design, and major product launches in both mature and high-growth markets.

Most recently, McDonagh led key European commercialization initiatives at Insulet, including the direct launch of Omnipod DASH in 12 countries and shaping the regional strategy for Omnipod 5, experience directly relevant to ViCentra’s planned geographic expansion and launch cadence. At ViCentra, she will oversee global marketing strategy, including sharpening Kaleido’s value proposition, accelerating demand generation, and aligning cross-functional teams ahead of the next-generation Kaleido system’s introduction. Her background in managing international teams and supporting business units exceeding $400 million in annual revenue underscores ViCentra’s ambition to build a scale-ready commercial organization, following a series of senior commercial leadership additions. The company is positioning Kaleido—integrated with Diabeloop’s hybrid closed-loop algorithms—as a differentiated, design-led insulin patch pump platform, and this appointment signals a continued focus on building the talent base required to execute ViCentra’s long-term growth strategy across European and future U.S. markets.
