Verkada has appointed Chris Stori as Chief Information Officer to lead corporate IT, business systems, and broader technology initiatives as the company scales its Physical AI platform. The move comes on the heels of a record fiscal year in which Verkada grew revenue 30% year over year and expanded its customer base to more than 31,000 organizations, including over 100 Fortune 500 companies.
Stori, formerly CEO of Bright Machines and a senior executive at Cisco, brings deep experience in enterprise networking and hardware-software integration, having overseen Cisco’s multi-billion-dollar Enterprise Networking, IoT, and Meraki portfolio and helping grow Meraki from 18,000 to over 600,000 customers. His mandate at Verkada is to build out the global technology infrastructure needed to support rising demand for AI-driven physical security, including the company’s new AI-powered deterrence product that uses large vision, audio, and language models to proactively detect and warn intruders, underscoring Verkada’s strategic shift from passive recording to agentic, proactive security intelligence.
