VAST Data is expanding its AI Operating System with the launch of VAST Foundation Stacks, an open-source library that converts NVIDIA AI Blueprints from prototype examples into production-grade AI pipelines running natively on the VAST AI OS. By packaging data access, database services, compute orchestration, and pipeline execution into repeatable templates, VAST aims to remove much of the integration work that typically slows enterprise AI deployment and to position its platform as core infrastructure for NVIDIA-powered workloads.
The first Foundation Stacks support NVIDIA’s Video Search and Summarization and AI-Q blueprints, enabling customers to deploy video intelligence and AI research agents across large private data sets while relying on VAST for secure context management, scalable reasoning, and reliable agent execution. These stacks can be redeployed consistently across cloud environments and on premises, including on VAST’s new CNode-X systems within the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design, and VAST plans additional industry-focused stacks, demos, and sandbox environments via a public GitHub repository, signaling an effort to build a broader ecosystem and accelerate customers’ path from AI experimentation to production at scale.
