UpGuard has introduced Risk Automations as the fifth core module of its Cyber Risk Posture Management platform, positioning the company to move customers from risk detection to remediation in seconds. The launch, which follows UpGuard’s recently announced $75 million Series C funding round, is aimed at reducing manual effort in governance, risk, and compliance engineering while deepening platform stickiness and expanding monetization opportunities.

Risk Automations connects the UpGuard platform with more than 100 commonly used security and IT tools, including ServiceNow, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Jira, Zendesk, and Cloudflare, consolidating risk intelligence and eliminating manual handoffs and siloed workflows. Executives can expect lower operational risk and potentially reduced breach-related losses as the system automates risk triage, ticket creation, and even system-level actions such as blocking malicious IP addresses or resetting compromised credentials.

The new capability serves as an “action layer” on top of UpGuard’s existing Vendor Risk, Breach Risk, User Risk, and Trust Exchange modules, allowing security teams to push targeted alerts and reports to Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, and ticketing systems for the appropriate stakeholders. Customers can use an out-of-the-box library of workflow templates or build custom node-based automations through a drag-and-drop visual editor, enabling flexible orchestration tailored to their own control environments and regulatory obligations.

CEO Mike Baukes said the company is focused on closing the execution gap between knowing about a risk and acting on it, signaling that UpGuard’s strategic direction is shifting from pure risk visibility to end-to-end risk resolution. According to product leadership, the company believes this can transform security operations from reactive firefighting into a proactive, data-driven discipline that can become a competitive differentiator for enterprises.

Risk Automations is now available to all existing UpGuard customers and will be highlighted at UpGuard Summit, the firm’s virtual event for global security leaders. For UpGuard, the combination of fresh growth capital and an automation-first product expansion supports its global go-to-market push and reinforces its positioning in the broader cybersecurity and risk management market, where real-time, automated remediation is becoming a key buying criterion for large enterprises.
