Truveta has introduced a new clinical trials solution that uses continuously updated, real-world clinical data from its U.S. health system members to accelerate and de-risk drug and device development. The platform is designed for trial sponsors to plan, optimize, and run studies with detailed provider- and site-level visibility, allowing rapid identification of eligible patients as soon as they qualify and prioritization of trial-ready investigators and locations. By leveraging near real-time insights across its nationwide health system partners, Truveta aims to materially shorten study timelines, improve enrollment performance, and enhance the quality of regulatory-grade evidence. Michael Simonov, MD, senior vice president of product at Truveta, emphasized that real-time data can surface new trial opportunities within days of patient encounters, positioning the solution as a step-change in speed and intelligence across the clinical trial lifecycle.

The offering supports sponsors in refining complex eligibility criteria, matching patients to trials in real time, and directly engaging the clinicians managing those patients. Beyond enrollment, the platform is built to support smarter study design and execution by enabling continuous monitoring of trial performance and enabling data-driven adjustments to sites and cohorts. Truveta integrates complete electronic health record data—including clinical notes, images, and provider- and site-level information—linked with closed claims and social drivers of health to support long-term evidence generation, from early development through post-market studies. The solution can also underpin external control arms and real-world, single-arm studies by drawing on Truveta’s longitudinal, regulatory-grade dataset. Strategically, this positions Truveta to capture more value across the clinical research value chain, deepen commercial relationships with life sciences and medtech sponsors, and further monetize its extensive member health system network, which includes major providers such as Providence, Advocate Health, Trinity Health, Tenet Healthcare, Northwell Health, and others.
