Regulatory approval for its TrendFinans platform enables Trendyol to offer Odeabank’s banking services via a Banking-as-a-Service model within its core app. This embedded finance move deepens user engagement and may enhance unit economics by capturing more transaction value without Trendyol becoming a fully regulated bank.
The company also showcased the Trendyol Security LLM, or Baron LLM, an in-house large language model focused on cybersecurity. By integrating proprietary AI into security operations, Trendyol aims to reduce errors, strengthen risk management, and differentiate its e-commerce and digital services through improved platform reliability.
Internal content series such as “1 Product 10 Questions” and “Behind the Code” highlight TrendyolTech’s role in AI and data innovation. These efforts support employer branding and could help attract scarce AI and cybersecurity talent, reinforcing operational resilience and scalability over time.
On the data and fulfillment front, Trendyol emphasized improvements in its search AI funnel, including retrieval, matching, and reranking, as well as data-driven fulfillment and new international warehouses. These investments target better personalization, higher conversion, and support for cross-border growth via enhanced logistics and analytics.
Talent pipeline development remained a priority, with the Meet & Connect campus event in Istanbul targeting late-stage undergraduates and recent graduates in engineering and business. Continued campus outreach may reduce long-term recruitment costs and secure a steady flow of high-potential employees for core technology and growth roles.
Trendyol also advanced social and ESG initiatives through its “Her AI Start” bootcamp in Azerbaijan, run with PASHA Holding to build AI skills among young women. Additional family-focused campus events and sponsorship of Fabrika Voleybol Schools reinforce the brand’s community engagement and youth orientation.
Collectively, these developments show Trendyol deepening its financial and AI capabilities while strengthening its talent base and social footprint, positioning the company for more secure, diversified, and scalable growth in regional and international markets.
