TransPerfect Legal has gained industry recognition in complex eDiscovery as Vice President of Consulting Services Michael Kriegal was named a finalist for Cellebrite’s 2026 JUSTYS Excellence in eDiscovery Award, highlighting the company’s capabilities in managing large-scale and technically demanding matters. Under Kriegal’s leadership, TransPerfect Legal’s consulting practice has expanded from a single advisor to more than 20 specialists focused on high-volume, multilingual, and heterogeneous data environments, including edge cases that test the limits of traditional eDiscovery platforms. This shortlisting, based on global submissions reviewed by over three dozen Cellebrite experts, reinforces TransPerfect’s positioning as a key provider of advanced legal technology and services to Am Law 200, Global 100 firms, and corporate legal departments.
Strategically, TransPerfect is using this momentum to deepen its investment in AI-driven solutions, with Kriegal spearheading the development of AI-powered document review and analytics tools aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy in complex reviews. President and Co-CEO Phil Shawe framed the recognition as validation of the firm’s strategy to build out higher-value technology and advisory offerings in legal, complementing its broader language and AI solutions business that spans more than 150 cities and over 200 languages. While no specific financial metrics were disclosed, the company signals an expectation of continued growth supported by legal tech innovation and its AI consulting team, with the JUSTYS recognition likely to enhance credibility in enterprise and law firm engagements ahead of the awards ceremony at the C2C User Summit on April 14, 2026.
