TransPerfect has acquired Rome-based Studio Emme SpA, a long-established dubbing and post-production provider, in a move that deepens its media and entertainment capabilities and extends its owned studio network in Europe. The business will be integrated into TransPerfect Media, with Studio Emme continuing to operate from its Rome headquarters under its existing leadership, and financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1982, Studio Emme brings four decades of experience serving major Italian broadcasters, studios, and international distributors, and holds Trusted Partner Network certification that aligns with content security standards required by leading studios and streaming platforms. TransPerfect’s President and Co-CEO Phil Shawe said the acquisition adds recognized Italian audiovisual expertise and strengthens the company’s ability to service entertainment clients globally, while Studio Emme’s CEO indicated that joining TransPerfect will support international growth by leveraging the larger group’s global reach and technology.
