Traini has secured $7.5 million in new funding following high-profile recognition at CES 2026, where its Sentra smart collar for dogs was ranked the No. 1 AI hardware product in a published list of the Top 30 Most Noteworthy AI Hardware Products. The capital will be used to accelerate deployment of Sentra and expand Traini’s Pet Emotional & Behavioral Intelligence (PEBI) platform, positioning the company to scale in the fast-growing pet wearables and health monitoring market.
Sentra functions as a cognitive sensing node for dogs, running Traini’s on-device multimodal AI models that interpret vocalizations, posture, movement, physiological signals, and environmental context in real time. Built on a Valence–Arousal emotional modeling framework, the system translates canine emotional states into a continuous coordinate map rather than simple labels, with Traini reporting up to 94% accuracy in core emotion-translation tasks across roughly 120 supported breeds under validated testing.
The PEBI platform sits at the center of Traini’s strategy, integrating perception models, reasoning systems, and intelligent agents to turn raw multimodal data from more than two million dogs into actionable insights. Annotation is conducted by veterinary and animal-behavior professionals, and Traini operates a continuous improvement loop in which anonymized real-world usage data feeds back into retraining pipelines, helping sustain model performance as the user base grows.
Traini intends to apply the new funding to scale manufacturing and distribution of Sentra, deepen its AI model stack, and broaden its software layers into training guidance, health management, and personalization modules. Management sees differentiation in focusing on emotional and behavioral interpretation rather than basic activity tracking, with Sentra currently available for reservation via Traini’s website as the company moves from technology validation to broader commercial rollout in the connected pet segment.
