Tidal Cyber CTO Joins MITRE ATT&CK Advisory Council as Firm Pushes Procedure-Led Defense Model

New updates have been reported about Tidal Cyber.

Meet Samuel – Your Personal Investing Prophet

Tidal Cyber’s co-founder and CTO, Richard Struse, has been appointed to the newly created MITRE ATT&CK Advisory Council, giving the private cybersecurity company a direct voice in the long-term direction of the globally used threat framework that underpins many commercial security programs. Struse’s selection leverages his prior work creating MITRE’s Center for Threat-Informed Defense and leading the development of the STIX and TAXII standards, which form much of the data architecture behind ATT&CK.

The appointment coincides with Tidal Cyber’s strategic shift to a procedure-led Threat-Led Defense platform, which focuses on the concrete, stepwise actions attackers take rather than merely mapping to tactics and techniques. By modeling adversary procedures as measurable objects through its Procedures Library and NARC AI engine, Tidal Cyber aims to help enterprises pinpoint where defenses fail during execution and prioritize controls that most effectively disrupt attacks, positioning the company to benefit from any evolution in how organizations operationalize MITRE ATT&CK.
