Thunes has extended its Direct Global Network to enable real-time pay-to-bank transfers into New Zealand, positioning the company to capture more Asia-Pacific cross-border payment flows and deepen relevance in a growing digital economy. Members can now send New Zealand dollars directly to domestic bank accounts via API integration or existing Swift connectivity, improving speed, transparency, and predictability for both consumer and business transactions.
The move aligns Thunes with New Zealand’s shift toward next-generation payment infrastructure, where real-time transactions are projected to grow at a 21.3% compound annual rate through 2027, expanding addressable volume for the network. By routing these payments through its SmartX Treasury System for AI-based forecasting and liquidity optimization, and its globally licensed Fortress Compliance Platform, Thunes aims to enhance security, regulatory assurance, and operational efficiency while reinforcing its strategic position as a key enabler of real-time cross-border payments in Asia-Pacific.
