Thunes has secured a Bronze Medal rating from sustainability assessor EcoVadis, placing the Singapore-based cross-border payments provider in the top 35% of more than 130,000 companies reviewed globally over the past year. The assessment, which covers 180 countries and 21 criteria across environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, aligns with leading frameworks such as GRI, the U.N. Global Compact, and ISO 26000, giving institutional partners a recognized benchmark for Thunes’ ESG performance.

For Thunes, an early adopter of these standards since it began reporting to EcoVadis in 2022, the rating provides third-party validation of its efforts to integrate responsible business practices across its global operations while scaling its real-time payments network in over 130 countries and more than 80 currencies. Deputy CEO Chloé Mayenobe framed ESG as a long-term, iterative strategy aimed at ensuring the company’s growth and its mission of financial inclusion generate durable benefits for partners, employees, and broader communities, with Thunes also participating in the U.N. Global Compact and committing to evidence-based sustainability roadmaps and governance as it targets enabling the next billion users to access the global economy.
