ThoughtSpot has introduced Spotter Semantics, an AI-native semantic layer designed to give its agentic analytics platform consistent, contextual and auditable insights at enterprise scale. Acting as a translation layer between fragmented data and AI agents, Spotter Semantics converts raw information into governed business concepts so natural language queries produce deterministic, explainable answers rather than probabilistic text-to-SQL outputs.
The launch comes as ThoughtSpot reports a 133% year-on-year increase in platform adoption by the end of fiscal 2025, with more than 64% of customers using Spotter as their primary AI analyst, signaling meaningful traction for its agentic strategy. Built on ThoughtSpot’s patented search-token architecture and ThoughtSpot Modeling Language, the semantic layer is positioned as core infrastructure for autonomous analytics, with future capabilities planned around writeback for actionable analytics and Federated AI Search, which together could expand monetization opportunities across embedded and enterprise use cases.
