Teleport Launches Beams to Secure AI Agents in Production Infrastructure

New updates have been reported about Teleport.

Teleport is expanding its infrastructure identity platform with Beams, a new runtime designed to secure and manage AI agents in production environments by tightly integrating identity, access control, and auditability. Each agent runs inside an isolated Firecracker virtual machine with its own delegated identity, allowing it to connect to approved data sources, infrastructure, and inference endpoints without relying on secrets or shared credentials.

By standardizing how AI agents are deployed and governed, Beams aims to replace the current ad hoc mix of IAM stitching, manual secrets management, and one-off container or VM workflows that slow enterprise adoption of agentic architectures. Teleport’s CTO, Alexander Klizhentas, said Beams makes security and IAM a solved prerequisite, so engineering teams can focus on building and scaling agents while retaining full visibility into all agent actions through detailed audit trails.
