TandemStride featured prominently this week with a series of product and strategy updates that underscore its focus on post-discharge trauma recovery and Medicaid populations. The company was selected as the digital engagement platform for the HEART Trial, a $16.6 million multi-center trauma recovery study led by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and several major U.S. institutions.

In the HEART Trial, TandemStride will provide the engagement layer connecting patients and caregivers to coaching, education, and ongoing support after hospital discharge. This role may enhance the company’s clinical credibility and visibility among clinicians and administrators who influence technology adoption.
TandemStride also introduced TandemStride Communities, a new app feature launched around National Trauma Survivors Day that creates a dedicated digital space for trauma survivors. The feature includes a social feed for milestones and setbacks, peer mentoring with certified mentors, daily journaling prompts, and a resource finder for local services such as housing, food, and transportation.
The Communities offering is integrated into TandemStride’s broader platform and is aimed at helping clinical teams and health plans keep high-risk patients engaged after discharge. By positioning Communities as whole-person recovery support, the company is aligning itself with growing demand for behavioral health tools and solutions addressing social determinants of health.
During Trauma Awareness Month, TandemStride sharpened its Medicaid-focused strategy, emphasizing the limitations of generic follow-up care and “check-the-box” protocols. The company highlighted interest from Medicaid and trauma program leaders in workflows built around validated behavioral health measures such as PCL-5, GAD-7, PHQ-9, and alcohol and pediatric assessments.
TandemStride is positioning its AI-enabled platform, including its Community Resource Navigator and recovery questionnaires, to simplify navigation for trauma survivors and extend support without proportional staffing increases. While no new contracts or revenue metrics were disclosed, the combination of a major trial engagement, new community features, and targeted Medicaid messaging points to a week of strategic progress for the company.
