Subject, an AI-powered digital curriculum provider for grades 6–12, has secured a $28 million growth investment led by Vistara Growth, with participation from several new and existing investors, to accelerate its AI-enabled instructional platform. The capital will fund expansion of accredited course offerings, enhancement of AI tools that personalize learning and support teachers, and broader deployment across U.S. school districts and international education organizations.
The company is gaining adoption as districts move away from legacy digital curriculum toward AI-based infrastructure that can expand course access, support multilingual and diverse learners, and improve measurement of outcomes with fewer instructional resources. Subject, which already serves nearly 1,000 schools through partnerships with about 360 districts and organizations, plans to intensify go-to-market efforts in priority U.S. regions, deepen automation for educators and administrators, and strengthen relationships with existing district customers, positioning the platform for continued scale and increased impact on graduation rates and student success metrics.
