STG Logistics has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, positioning operational efficiency as a core driver of both environmental and financial performance across its nationwide port-to-door logistics network. CEO Geoff Anderman said sustainability is now embedded in daily decision-making, noting that efficiency initiatives are lowering emissions while improving service reliability and cost competitiveness for customers.
A central initiative is the Green Haul program, which in its first full year cut more than 2,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide by reducing empty miles and optimizing container flows across STG’s intermodal network. By matching freight with existing return routes, the company executed over 11,200 Green Haul loads in 2025 without adding new equipment or disrupting operations, earning external recognition as a 2025 Top Supply Chain Project and reinforcing STG’s positioning in sustainable logistics solutions.
STG is also increasing its use of intermodal rail as a lower-emission alternative to traditional over-the-road trucking, while advancing fleet electrification and rolling out more energy-efficient equipment at its facilities. Warehouse-focused efficiency measures, including LED lighting, electric yard trucks and waste reduction programs, are designed to shrink the company’s environmental footprint while supporting scalable, resilient service offerings for shippers.
Beyond environmental initiatives, the report emphasizes investment in people and governance as pillars of long-term value creation and risk management for STG. Employees completed more than 9,500 training courses in 2025, averaging 7.5 per employee, as the company expanded development programs, benefits and well-being initiatives aligned with its People First philosophy.
On the governance front, STG highlights strengthened ESG oversight, cybersecurity and ethics frameworks intended to support responsible growth as its integrated logistics platform scales. Anderman framed sustainability as an ongoing journey rather than a one-time objective, arguing that the company’s progress in 2025 enhances its ability to deliver resilient, compliant and environmentally aligned logistics solutions to customers while reinforcing STG’s long-term competitive position.
