STG Logistics Expands Port-Centric, Intermodal Focus With Savannah Capacity and 3PL Outreach

STG Logistics used a series of LinkedIn updates this week to spotlight its growing intermodal and contract logistics platform, with a particular focus on near-port capacity in Savannah, GA. The company is promoting a 162,000 sq. ft. warehouse near the Port of Savannah, featuring 31 dock doors and an additional round loading dock designed for efficient freight flows.

STG is positioning the facility as a scalable hub for importers, manufacturers, and cargo owners seeking storage and distribution close to one of the fastest-growing ports in the U.S. The site is marketed as part of an integrated 3PL offering that includes inventory management, order fulfillment, transportation, and value-added services such as kitting.

Across its communications, STG emphasizes flexible, technology-enabled solutions with safety systems and visibility tools aimed at higher-service customers. Management frames the Savannah capacity as an extension of shippers’ supply chains rather than a standalone storage site, aiming to deepen relationships and reduce customer churn.

In parallel, STG highlighted its participation at the TIA Capital Ideas Conference in Phoenix, where EVP and Group President, Transportation, Vince Paperiello is scheduled to speak on a panel. The company is using the event to underscore partnerships between 3PLs and transportation providers and to promote its port-to-door, intermodal, and nationwide capacity.

STG also reiterated its intermodal scale and adaptive supply chain strategy, citing research that many shippers reconfigured 26–50% of their freight flows in 2025, often via intermodal shifts and port diversification. The company points to more than 60 U.S. sites, 15,000 intermodal containers, 2,500 tractors, and Class I rail contracts as key competitive assets.

Additional posts stressed the role of cross-border intermodal solutions in serving Mexico–U.S. nearshoring, including congestion at crossings like Laredo and tariff uncertainty. STG views rail-based intermodal, combined with local expertise, as a way to support cost, security, and sustainability objectives for shippers adjusting their networks.

The company plans to participate in the Agriculture Transportation Coalition Annual Meeting and the AMTI Intermodal Congress to deepen industry collaboration and target export and intermodal growth. While no specific contracts or financial metrics were disclosed, the week’s messaging underscores a strategy centered on scale, reliability, and integrated port-to-door services.

If STG succeeds in driving higher utilization at its Savannah facility and converting conference and nearshoring outreach into new or expanded contracts, it could enhance revenue density and network leverage. Overall, the week reflects an effort to align with structural shifts toward adaptive, diversified supply chains and to reinforce the company’s role as a full-service logistics partner.
