Spacelift has strengthened its leadership team with two senior hires, positioning the company to scale its AI-native infrastructure orchestration platform amid rising enterprise demand. John Henry Archer joins as senior vice president of sales and channel, while Jonah Kowall becomes senior vice president of product and design, following the general availability of Spacelift Intelligence and increased customer adoption.

The appointments come as AI coding tools reach mass developer usage, intensifying pressure on platform and DevOps teams and creating a larger addressable market for Spacelift’s AI-enhanced Infrastructure as Code and GitOps workflows. Archer, a veteran of Salesforce, Own, Lacework and Pure Storage, will focus on growing global sales, deepening enterprise penetration, and expanding the partner ecosystem as more customers standardize on Spacelift for multi-cloud governance.

Kowall, who has held senior product roles at AppDynamics, Kentik, Logz.io, Aiven and Paessler, and is active in open source projects like Jaeger and OpenSearch, will drive product and design strategy across Spacelift’s platform. His remit includes advancing Spacelift Intelligence, which adds a natural-language orchestration layer and AI assistant across deployment, diagnostics, policy and drift management, and Spacelift Intent, which enables rapid, AI-powered prototyping while retaining IaC as the production system of record.

Spacelift’s customer base now includes Duolingo, Figma, Moody’s, Checkout.com, 1Password and Redfin, indicating growing traction among digital and data-intensive enterprises that are re-architecting infrastructure for AI-enabled development. Management positions these leadership moves as critical to converting current product momentum into durable enterprise revenue growth, as organizations shift from traditional IaC pipelines toward AI-native infrastructure control planes with stronger governance, auditability and risk controls.
