Snyk is deepening its AI security strategy by integrating Anthropic’s Claude models into the Snyk AI Security Platform, aiming to automate vulnerability discovery, prioritization, and remediation across traditional and AI-generated software assets. The move positions Snyk as a core control point for enterprises embedding security into AI development lifecycles, addressing a risk area that large technology buyers have recently flagged as mission critical.

Claude’s reasoning capabilities now underpin Snyk’s ability to turn fast, frontier-model findings into ranked, developer-ready fixes delivered directly inside existing coding workflows, a shift Snyk executives describe as essential as AI accelerates code output beyond the reach of legacy AppSec tools. Snyk’s Evo product extends this approach to AI-native and agentic environments by continuously inventorying models, agents, MCP servers, datasets, and third-party tools, red-teaming active agents for issues such as prompt injection and data exfiltration, and enforcing runtime policies on tool usage before damage occurs.

Data from Snyk’s 2026 State of Agentic AI Adoption Report underscores the commercial importance of this capability, finding that each AI model in production introduces nearly three times as many additional software components and that roughly two-thirds of production code is now AI-generated, with almost half containing vulnerabilities and many agents operating outside traditional security visibility. By closing this gap, Snyk aims to become a default governance layer for AI software supply chains, particularly as 82% of AI tools in use today are sourced from third-party packages that most compliance frameworks do not track.

Customer and partner feedback reinforces the platform’s strategic direction: Anthropic’s security leadership emphasizes that Snyk turns high-fidelity detections from Claude into actionable remediation inside build workflows, while early design partners report reshaping security from a late-stage gate into an integrated part of code creation without overburdening engineering teams. The Claude integration is available immediately to joint Snyk–Anthropic customers, with broader rollout planned through 2026, giving Snyk a near-term opportunity to expand usage among its more than 4,500 global customers and to capture growing spend on AI-native application security and governance.
