Slate Auto has raised $650 million in a Series C round led by existing backer TWG Global, providing the capital required to move from development into scaled production of its low-cost, highly customizable Slate Truck. With more than 160,000 reservations already booked and first deliveries targeted for late 2026, the company now has funding in place to execute its manufacturing plan, including reindustrialization of its Warsaw, Ind., facility.

CEO Peter Faricy said the new capital will keep Slate on schedule and within budget as it advances production milestones this year, with preorder access for the Slate Truck planned to open in June 2026 at a target price in the mid-$20,000s. President of Vehicles Chris Barman emphasized that every truck will be built in a single base configuration for post-delivery accessorization, supporting a simplified manufacturing model and enabling transformation from a two-seat pickup to a five-seat SUV, while the company invests about $400 million in its Warsaw factory, targets over 2,000 local jobs, and ties into nationwide service and fast-charging networks, including RepairPal shops and Tesla Superchargers via a standard NACS port.
