Slang AI has raised $36 million in Series B funding to accelerate deployment of its hospitality-focused voice AI platform, bringing total capital raised to $68 million and reinforcing its position as a specialized infrastructure provider for restaurants and venues. The round, led by US Venture Partners with participation from Thayer Investment Partners, Claire Hughes Johnson and existing backers, combines $28 million in equity and $8 million in debt, with funds earmarked for product expansion, AI capabilities and go-to-market scaling.

At the core of Slang AI’s strategy is its “Superhost” platform, a custom-trained voice agent that answers every inbound guest call 24/7, handles reservations and private dining, routes high-value inquiries and integrates directly with reservation and CRM systems. Serving more than 2,000 restaurant locations and built on a proprietary dataset of 25 million calls from 10 million unique guests, the system is delivering up to 20x ROI for operators, doubling phone reservations and achieving guest satisfaction above 95%, giving Slang a defensible data moat and strong product-market fit.

The company is targeting a rapidly expanding market, as recent industry data indicate that most restaurant executives plan to increase AI investment and view AI as critical for competitiveness amid margin pressure and labor constraints. Slang AI’s solution directly addresses chronic operational pain points, with internal data showing that up to half of inbound opportunities to restaurants go unanswered and 10–20% of calls fail during handoff or follow-up, resulting in lost revenue and degraded guest experience.

Management plans to use the new capital to deepen agentic capabilities, build multimodal experiences beyond voice and extend coverage across more of the guest lifecycle, including personalized recommendations, post-visit outreach and review management. The company will also expand engineering, product and commercial teams and broaden its partnership ecosystem with reservation and events platforms to support rapid adoption and embed itself more deeply in hospitality workflows.

CEO and Co-Founder Alex Sambvani frames the strategy as using AI to deliver personalization at scale, enabling restaurants to “remember” guests and capture demand without adding headcount while freeing staff to focus on in-person service. With investors citing Slang AI’s proprietary call dataset and unusually high customer satisfaction as sources of durable competitive advantage, the Series B positions the company to consolidate its lead in hospitality-focused AI infrastructure and drive incremental revenue for operators globally.
