Shield AI Deepens Defense AI Collaboration With Singapore on Autonomous Flight

According to a recent LinkedIn post from Shield AI, the company is deepening its collaboration with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) to further develop AI pilot capabilities for autonomous flight operations using its Hivemind platform. The post indicates that this expanded effort builds on an existing relationship in which RSAF and DSTA are already using Hivemind to independently design, test, and evaluate mission autonomy, with the goal of establishing a sovereign capability for Singapore in AI-enabled aviation.

The post also cites comments from Shield AI’s co-founder and president, Brandon Tseng, suggesting that Singapore could become the first country outside the United States to attain “true sovereign autonomy” in AI pilots, enabling it to develop and field AI pilots across its own platforms. This is framed in the context of autonomy as a means to decouple military capability from population size, a strategic consideration for nations facing demographic constraints.

For investors, the highlighted partnership expansion with a technologically advanced, well-funded defense customer such as Singapore may signal growing international traction for Shield AI’s Hivemind platform and its underlying autonomy technology.
