Segmed Taps Verily Platform to Broaden Access to Real-World Imaging Data for AI and Precision Health

New updates have been reported about Segmed.

Segmed is expanding distribution of its real-world medical imaging and clinical datasets through a new partnership with Verily, integrating its de-identified, diagnostic-grade data into Verily’s secure, AI-native precision health platform. Researchers using Verily’s Pre Exchange and Workbench environments will gain self-serve access to curated Segmed datasets, positioning Segmed more deeply within the workflow of academic, life sciences, and healthcare AI customers.

The first Segmed dataset on the platform targets breast cancer, offering a longitudinal cohort of patients who underwent digital breast tomosynthesis exams and had biopsy-confirmed malignancies, sourced from Segmed’s global repository of roughly 150 million de-identified imaging exams across CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, PET, SPECT, echocardiography, and DEXA. Segmed’s CEO emphasized that combining advanced imaging with clinical and other biomedical data is critical to precision medicine and that the Verily integration is intended to accelerate generation of insights for diagnostics and therapies, while Verily’s commercial leadership highlighted that Segmed’s curated multimodal data strengthens Pre as a research and discovery platform, supporting Segmed’s strategy of privacy-first, scalable access to real-world imaging and associated clinical data in trusted environments.
